Thanksgiving’s over, let the Christmas fair begin

CHESHIRE – Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens; bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens; brown paper packages tied up with strings; these are a few of my favorite things!

The Episcopal Church Women (ECW) of St. Peter’s Church in Cheshire will hold their annual Christmas Fair on Saturday, December 3 from 9:30AM until 1:30PM where you’ll be sure to find many of your favorite things, as well as some great gift ideas for the special people in your life.  Get a head start on your holiday shopping with a fine selection of gift baskets, hand crafted items & crafts, baked goods, jewelry, Una’s attaic and holiday decorations, new and old. In addition, homemade soup and bread will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Proceeds support the church and outreach programs in the greater Cheshire community. St. Peter’s Church is located at 59 Main St. and is the brick building on the corner of Routes 68/70 (West Main St.) and Route 10 (South Main Street). Bus Route J.

Episcopal Church Women (ECW) is a faith organization encompassing women of all ages, ethnic origins and socioeconomic backgrounds who hold a variety of views. However, the common denominator of members is love of God and the wish to do His work. The mission of ECW, based in Episcopal congregations around the country, is to empower women to do Christ’s ministry in the world. Thru their prolific efforts, the ECW at St. Peter’s Church has raised thousands of dollars which have been utilized in varied outreach programs in the greater Cheshire area such as: Cheshire Food Bank, Waterbury Food Bank and Chapel on the Green in New Haven.

St. Peter’s Church is an Episcopal Church located in downtown Cheshire, CT. The church offers weekday morning worship as well as Sunday worship. Educational programming for all age groups is available each Sunday between services. St. Peter’s runs a choir program encompassing a church choir, madrigals and a youth ensemble.
