WATERTOWN — Christ Church Watertown has had a rough couple of years. After an extensive battle regarding homosexuality, the church was torn apart when most of the congregation left to form New Hope Anglican Church. The remaining Christ Church parishioners agreed to be open and affirming. That was about three years ago.
Since then the church has been struggling to pay its bills and this summer sold its original building to Taft School. The 20 or so parishioners have been gathering each week at Walker Hall. But tonight, for a Christmas Eve Eucharist, the church will be back in its building on The Green.
