Bishop elect to take part in foot care clinic

ContributedNEW HAVEN —  Chapel on the Green, an outdoor church ministry of Trinity Episcopal Church, is hosting a free foot care clinic for people experiencing homelessness, outdoors, behind Trinity Church, on the Green, Thursday at 2 p.m. as part of its Maundy Thursday outdoor service.

Bishop-elect Ian T. Douglas, will join health care volunteers from Gateway Community College and Yale Medical School to clean, inspect and gently care for the feet of those among New Haven’s poorest citizens.

Free socks and foot care kits will be provided with help to get a new pair of shoes. Donations via check to Trinity Church with “Maundy Thursday Foot Care Clinic” in the memo.

Chapel on the Green was founded in November, 2008.  It is a ministry of companionship that offers outdoor worship and a shared meal to all to build and strengthen our community.
