MLK Jr. celebrated across Connecticut

Connecticut celebrates Martin Luther King Jr./Tracy Simmons - Creedible.comHARTFORD — Martin Luther King Jr. was shot and killed 42 years ago, but in Connecticut it’s evident that his spirit is still strong.

At venues across the state on Monday, preachers, singers, politicians and community members gathered together to honor the civil rights leader who forged a new path for America’s black community.
