HARTFORD– There’s a new dollop of international flavor at Trinity College Hillel. Mijael (pronounced like the Hebrew Mi-cha-el) Lacher is only 22, and has already made an impact on the director and students of the Jewish campus organization, where he has taken on the role of cantor and Jewish activities coordinator.
“Mijael is a Jewish educator, has so much energy, and always has some wonderful Jewish insight, and he’s young and understands young people,” says Hillel director Lisa Kassow.
Lacher is Trinity Hillel’s first graduate fellow, on campus for the academic year. Lacher was the group’s dedicated staff-person, assigned by Hillel Argentina.
